Stuart Allan & Associates, Inc. presently operates "DAKCS" a proprietary software on a UNIX based system. Present hardware configurations include over ninety work stations (dual-purpose terminals), forty data stations (terminals), and twenty-five printers linked together over a Novell/NT LAN with a 100mb fiber optic backbone. Present configuration allows for expansion. Our mainframe system exchanges communications with our other offices via 56kb circuits using DIGI- Board interface devices, making a powerfully inter-connected info-structure. We have recently upgraded our Dakcs server to a HP Dual Pentium III 500 with Raid 5 fault tolerance. This system is protected by an APC uninterrupted power source. Dakcs software provides us a fully automated menu driven collection, remittance, and reporting system. We can accept referrals by tape, modem, floppy disk, internet, e-mail, FTP, or hard copy.

Our fiber-optic backbone is supported over multiple HP ProCurve switches that help segment and speed up the network. This backbone supports our Compaq Dual Pentium II 450 Novell server, that offers file and print sharing, as well as the HP Dual Pentium Pro 200 NT server that supports the companies E-mail and Internet Services.

Our state-of-the-art optical scanning system, with over 120gig of storage, provides rapid on-screen access of file contents by our collections department without ever having to open a file drawer. This retrieval system expedites accurate capturing of information and greatly speeds up and supports all levels of business.

We have a remote access system (RAS) which clients can use to list accounts or report payments directly. Should volume merit, at no additional cost, we will also provide you with a remote access software or terminal allowing you to view your accounts, audit or request special handling after placement. Your only expense would be a standard business telephone line.
